GENERAL

  • Our little baking haven is nestled in the lovely town of Livermore, California.

    Since we're a cottage food operation, our baking magic happens right in our cozy residential home kitchen. That means we don't have a traditional store front for you to drop by. But fret not! Our location allows us to be a permitted home bakery, where we whip up and sell delectable baked goods that have been approved. We are qualified with a Class B CFO Permit (#PT0326883) from Alameda County Department of Environmental Health.

    Depending on the product ordered, we offer porch pickup from our home, local Livermore or Pleasanton delivery, or CA statewide shipping. We understand that time is precious, so clients only swing by our location during pre-arranged timeframes to collect their orders.

    Once your order has been confirmed, you’ll receive an email reminder the day before your order pick-up that includes our address. Please only show up during your pick-up window. Otherwise, your treats will not be ready.

  • All of our treats are available to be picked up in Livermore. You may place an order for our cookies or brownies, place an order inquiry for one of our cakes, or for our floral cupcakes.

    When ordering cookies or brownies, you will add items to your cart and we'll prompt you to choose a convenient pick-up window or shipping within California. If none of the listed pick-up windows work for you, no worries! Just reach out to us at info@squaresbakes.com before placing an order and we'll happily arrange a different time that suits you.

    If you're a local and looking for a large amount of brownies or blondies that are more customized, we've got options for you too! Simply submit a custom brownie bite order inquiry. We offer Brownie Bite Boxes for event or party favors, as well as large orders of mini brownie and blondie bites.

  • If you have already placed an order and you are unable to pick-up your order in the time slot, please contact info@squaresbakes.com ASAP to arrange a different pick-up time. Please use the email you placed the order with and include your full name. The sooner you reach out to us, the easier it will be for us to arrange a time to get your treats to you. We understand plans may change and strive to resolve these issues to the best of our ability.

    If you're still in the process of placing your order and need to adjust the pick-up date or time window, simply shoot us an email at info@squaresbakes.com before finalizing your order. We'll do our best to accommodate your request.

  • Our home kitchen handles ingredients such as wheat, egg, milk, tree nuts, peanuts, and soy, which may pose a risk for individuals with food allergies.

    Even though some of our products may not contain peanuts, nuts, or soy, we cannot guarantee that they are entirely free from allergens due to the possibility of cross-contamination. Therefore, we recommend that individuals with allergies avoid consuming our products.

    If you have any specific questions regarding the ingredients used in our products, please contact us at info@squaresbakes.com. Although we may provide you with ingredient and allergen information, if you or your recipient has a severe allergy, please know that while we do our best to prevent cross-contamination, we are not an allergy-free bakery.

  • Currently, we do not have any vegan or gluten free products. If you are interested in vegan or gluten free products, feel free to send us an email at info@squaresbakes.com. This will help us gauge interest and see if we will launch a vegan or gluten free product line in the future!

  • Due to the custom-made & perishable nature of our products, we are unable to provide refunds or exchanges on any of our items

    If you are unhappy with your order, please contact info@squaresbakes.com ASAP with your order details. We genuinely want to make things right for you and will do our best to ensure your satisfaction.

    Customers who cancel their orders at least 5 days prior to their pick-up or delivery date will receive their payment refunded, minus payment processing fees or any expenses for any special ingredients or items purchased or made specifically for your order. If issued, the refund will be credited to your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. If possible, we will provide an estimate of how long the refund will take to occur.

    Cancellations made with less than 5 days notice will forfeit their entire payment unless we are able to accommodate rescheduling their pick-up to a later date, based on Squares availability. If we have not started production on your order, we may offer a credit towards a future purchase or a partial refund, on a case by case basis and up to the discretion of Squares.

OUR TREAT CARE

  • The day before pick-up, you will receive an email with the pick-up address. Please only show up during your pick-up window. Otherwise, your treats will not be ready.

    When carrying the box, hold the box from the bottom, not the sides. Please make sure you have a flat surface in your car to transport your treats, preferably in the passenger footwells of your car to reduce the chances of them moving. Avoid putting it on any area with a slant; we do not recommend someone holding the cake. Please do not place them on top of a seat, as this can cause them to fall and damage the products. Keep the box flat during transport and avoid braking quickly or making sharp turns.

    Avoid placing the box near heat sources during transit and storage; this may melt the product. Do not leave your treats in the car for longer than it takes for you to get home. Heat will affect the treats and can cause them to melt, especially with our cakes and cupcakes.

    If you will be traveling somewhere else with your cake or cupcakes after you take them home, we recommend keeping them refrigerated in the meantime so they will be nice & firm for travel. Please read our cupcake and cake care to see how to store them in the fridge.

    Damages caused during any transport are the customer’s responsibility. Once our treats are picked up, delivered, or shipped, we can not be held liable for any damage incurred during transportation, handling or storage on your end. Customers are provided with product care instructions (either in the form of a care card or listed on the inside or back of the box) as well as being listed below and in the Terms and Conditions.

  • Enjoy your baked goods as soon as possible, preferably within 1-3 days of receival for optimal freshness.

    To keep up to 1 week, store at room temperature in an airtight container or their sealed packaging.

    To keep up to 3 months, store in the freezer in an airtight container or in their sealed packaging. Thaw at room temp for 1-2 hours for best texture & flavor.

    Avoid storing your unsealed brownies or blondies in the fridge, as it can cause them to dry out & lose their moist & fudgy texture.

  • Enjoy your baked goods as soon as possible, preferably within 1-3 days of receival for optimal freshness.

    For optimal enjoyment, heat cookies in a 350 °F oven for 5-10 minutes until warm and gooey.

    To keep up to 1 week, store at room temperature in an airtight container or in their sealed packaging.

    To keep up to 3 months, store in the freezer in an airtight container or in their sealed packaging. Thaw at room temp for 1-2 hours or heat cookies in a 350 °F oven for 5-10 minutes until warm and gooey.

  • Keep cupcakes at a cool room temperature. It is recommended to consume within 1-3 days of receival.

    Keep away from direct sunlight, moisture, & heat at all times to avoid buttercream melting.

    If it is hot or humid in your house, then you may store them in the fridge or freezer. It is recommended to freeze over refrigerate if keeping for over 2 days because refrigeration can dry cupcakes out. If refrigerated or frozen, we recommend wrapping the box in cling film to keep the box airtight & cupcakes moist. You also may place them in an airtight container. We do not recommend refrigerating for over 5 days or freezing for over 1 week for best taste & quality.

    If refrigerated or frozen, bring back to room temperature for about 1 hour before eating.

  • Cake transport instructions can be read above and will be provided to you the day before pick-up.

    Please make sure you have a clean & level space available in your fridge to store your cake if not serving within the next few hours Your cake box size depends on the size of the cake, and will be provided to you the day before pick-up or delivery so you have adequate time to prepare.

    Keep away from direct sunlight, moisture, & heat when not inside the fridge.

    Take cake out of fridge about 1-2 hours before serving. Serve at room temperature for optimal cake & buttercream texture.

    Store leftover cake in the fridge in an airtight container and cover the cut portion of the cake with plastic wrap to prevent drying out.

OUR TREATS

  • Our standard brownies and blondies are 3 x 3 inches. Depending on the flavor you choose, they typically weigh around 3.5-6.5 ounces,

    We also have mini squares for pick-up, shipping, and custom orders that are absolutely fantastic for sharing and for large events. These cute little squares measure 1.5 x 1.5 inches, making them the ideal for sharing, tasting different flavors, or enjoying as canapes at your next big event.

    You may order our brownie bites in 1/2 or full dozens for both pick-up and shipping. For shipping, we pack our bites in candy boxes with candy pads so they arrive to you safely.

    If you are interested in a large amount of brownie bites, simply reach out to us for a custom order, and we'll make sure you have plenty of these scrumptious treats to enjoy.

  • Each of our giant cookies weigh approximately 6 ounces! Definitely made for sharing!

  • Yes! All florals on our cupcakes and cakes are edible! Although these may look like real flowers, especially those in our cupcake bouquets, all of our “flowers” are hand-piped with vanilla buttercream to create beautiful and edible works of art.

SHIPPING

  • As a California permitted home bakery, we’re currently limited to shipping within the sunny state of California. However, we're keeping our fingers crossed that we'll be able to expand and ship out of state in the near future. Stay tuned for updates!

    In the meantime, if you're in California, we're excited to serve you and share our scrumptious treats with you. Place your order and get ready to indulge in some mouthwatering goodness!

  • To order brownies, blondies, or cookies for shipping, simply browse our online store. Once you've found the perfect treats, simply add it to your cart. You will be promted to choose between pick-up and shipping when you add an item to your cart. Once you've completed the checkout process, keep an eye on your inbox for a confirmation email that will let you know your order is on its way. Once your order ships out, we’ll provide you with a tracking number so you can follow your order’s journey and get an idea of when they'll arrive.

  • All packages are shipped out within 2 days of ordering via USPS or UPS from Livermore, CA (excluding Fridays & holidays). Friday orders will ship out Monday in order to limit time in transit. If you want your order to be delivered by a certain date or delivered at a later date, please contact us at info@squaresbakes.com before placing your order to be sure we can accommodate you.

  • Each standard sized delectable treat is individually wrapped, ensuring freshness and making them ideal for on-the-go enjoyment. Our mini brownie bites are securely packed in candy boxes with candy pads to keep them from getting crushed.

    They are then packaged securely in a box stuffed with purple crinkle paper to keep them safe and secure on their journey to your doorstep. A Treat Care Card is included with all orders to make sure you know the best way to keep your treats fresh and flavorful.

  • Packages are shipped out within 2 days of ordering via USPS or UPS and are estimated to arrive in 1-3 days. You will be provided a tracking number once your order has shipped out so you can estimate when it will reach you. If you have not received your tracking number, please check your order fulfillment email or contact info@squaresbakes.com with your order information.

  • Absolutely! At checkout, you'll find an option to include a customized gift message, allowing you to brighten someone's day and make it truly memorable. We believe it's those thoughtful gestures that can make all the difference!

    We don't include a receipt in any of our treat boxes so you don't need to worry about this for gifts either!

    If you are sending an order as a gift, please make sure your recipient will be home to receive it. Our treats are best consumed when fresh and our packages should be left outside for as little time as possible.

  • If your order hasn’t shipped yet, we will do our best to adjust any shipping details. If you need to make changes to your shipping information, please reply to your order confirmation e-mail or contact us at info@squaresbakes.com with your order details ASAP so we may assist you.

    As a policy, all our treats that ship statewide are final sale and once they have been shipped, we are unable to make any changes to the order. Due to the perishable nature of our treats we are not able to make any address adjustments once an order has been processed for shipment as it will greatly increase the time the product is in transit.

  • Unfortunately, due to the delicate nature of our cupcakes, we are unable to ship them.
